BANCOORA
THE LOW DOWN
Bancoora Beach is nestled beside the tiny township of Breamlea and is the surprise surf spot on the coast for beginners to intermediate surfers. It picks up more swell than Torquay and has left and right peaks up and down the beach. Banny has a huge rocky point that protects it from strong west/southwest winds and big swells. The beach has beginner to intermediate waves up to 4 feet. As the swell increases you can move over next to the rock wall, as this will be much smaller. If you are on the hunt for a wave on a small day, Banny is always worth a look! During summer this beach is patrolled by lifeguards but at all other times you should surf with a buddy. When TSA does lessons at Banny, we meet at the surf club, where there are toilets and a great BBQ area out of the wind. Yep, Banny is a cool spot to surf!
