Safe Surfing Level One
All participants receive a Safe Surfing Level Two certificate at completion of the session. The level Two Safe Surfing certificate includes:
- Reading surf conditions
- Paddling
- Catching broken waves
- Wave zone negotiation
- Wiping out safely
- Equipment for surfing
- Sun smart behaviour
- Sport safe behaviour
- Environment awareness
Safe Surfing Level One

- Wave selection
- Turning & Dismounting
- Responsibilities of the surfer in the surf zone
- Principals of personal safety and surfing rescues
- Fitness training for surfing
- Sun smart behaviour
- Sport safe behaviour
- Environment awareness
